Vita / Life and Work
In the picturesque village of Herborn, nestled in the valleys of the Westerwald, my journey began at the Johanneum Gymnasium. I completed my high school education in Giessen in 1998, opening the door to a path rich in creativity, exploration, and discovery.
My artistic growth led me through the vibrant cities of Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Mainz, where I studied, experimented, and refined my craft. Alongside my love for art, I built a professional career as an event management assistant, specializing in international fairs and congresses, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in tourism management.
In late 2003, I returned to Italy for the second time and stayed for several months. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and inspired by the warmth and passion of the Italian people, I reconnected with my true calling – painting. I spent a year in Milan and another in Rome, as well as shorter trimester stays in Viareggio, Arezzo, Anzio/Nettuno, and by the shores of Lake Maggiore. Over the years, I explored almost all of Italy – so much so that I came to know it even better than my home country of Germany.
Soon after, my first exhibitions took place in Italy, followed by shows in Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and Spain. Each exhibition, collaboration, and encounter left its mark on my work, infusing it with the colors, textures, and spirit of the cultures I experienced.
However, in 2006 life took an unexpected turn. First I became diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and later Zervikale Myelitis and one year later my Mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor (7cm x 8 cm x 6 cm) at the age of 49.
For more than 15 years, I put my artistic career on hold to care for her around the clock. This chapter profoundly shaped my perspective on life, deepened my resilience, and expanded my skills far beyond the canvas. I mastered the organization of her care, from technical home equipment to complex hospital treatments, changing adult pempers, managing her epilepsie, organising flight travells with special equipment and many more things. To support her better, I studied sport and rehabilitation medicine for two years, as well as environmental safety science for another two years. This was the only way to monitor medical treatments and help her also at home to progress after each next operation and radiation or very often terrible post operative nursing care in hospitals.
During this time, I also fell in love with science and technology, leading me to create technical sculptures inspired by my discoveries about life, the universe, and eternity. Unfortunaly I expirienced that if I publish this kind of my art, other persons do not be respected my copyright and use my ideas. Thatfor I am not publishing them anymore online.
Since 2024, after 2 long years of grief since mothers passing, I have returned to my art – exhibiting, traveling, and embracing the beauty and surprises life still holds.
My actual path 2025/26 is to progress in the public art sculpture sector and that my sculptures touch human souls and minds...
